Jandel, Ginger in Women’s Am qualifier

DAYTON — Emma Jandel and Molly Ginger will be among 39 golfers who will compete today in a U.S. Women’s Amateur qualifier at Walnut Grove Country Club. Five spots are available for the USGA event, which begins Aug. 3 at Old Warson Country Club in St. Louis.

Jandel, an Oakwood High School graduate, plays for Ohio State. Ginger, a Centerville grad, plays for Marshall University. She won Miami Valley Golf Association women’s stroke play and match play titles last week.

Play begins at 8 a.m. Ginger tees off at 8:10, Jandel at 9. The event is open to the public.
