Fox not credible news organization

Hot Topics

The pundits who have been critical of the Obama administration for attacking Fox News as a political arm of the Republican Party rather than a legitimate news organization seem to have missed the point.

The Obama administration was not criticizing Fox News for disagreeing with them or for being critical of their policies. Fox News was being criticized for not adhering to the journalistic standards expected of a national news organization.

Would a news organization, other than Fox, organize and promote political events like the”tea parties” and actually have someone encouraging them to demonstrate for their cameras?

Would another news organization give credence to demonstrably false stories like Obama’s birth certificate or “death panels.”

Would another news organization present press releases and talking points from the previous administration as news, complete with typos?

Shouldn’t we expect better from an organization that promotes itself as “Fair and Balanced”?

Must be true - I actually saw Chas Krauthammer and Myra Eliason praise the President for his speech at Ft Hood. That could be nothing more than snake oil, eh?

FOX is akin to "professional wresting" WWF style. The so called, news commentators use tactics to emotionalize the news but, actually give no valid substance. It is right wing modality to gear up emotions with no logic. The Glenn Beck style emotional outbursts. The Hannity rants. Both only using the Drug addict Limbaugh as a model. It is not news. FOX is an entertainment show selling snake oil.

Fox news reports and has opinion pieces. Apparently the lunatic left can only accept dissent when it comes from their side. Keith Olbermann is one of the poster boys of left winger opinion, but no one wants to block his network like they do Fox. Air America is a complete waste of time and that's the best the left has come up with to fight Fox. Obama doesn't like dissent, his staff hates to be held accountable and like any ********* runs from the focus of the light. They better get used to it.

Mr. Fraga,You are clearly upset. I realize that you like many others cast a ballot for a man that you knew nothing about. It seems that the uninformed voter is common place. The real issue here is simple, we Americans are not used to seeing a conservative news cast. The liberal media has been the norm for decades and now the number one news channel in the country is FOX. For conservatives it is vindication, you my friend are just now feeling what we have felt for years. It will get worse.

Not in 1776, since there was no First Amendment and such a news organization would be arrested and sent back to London and tried for treason.

Our country was founded on a tax revolt. When Cindy Sheehan and her 6 friends were sitting outside of Bush's ranch, that was legitimate news. But thousands of people protesting taxes like our framers did, suddenly protest is illegitimate.
