The Dayton Daily News asked candidates in the Republican primary for the Greene County Commission to provide a letter of endorsement from one of their supporters.
This letter of endorsement for Virgil Vaduva was written by Larry Schweikart, author and history professor at the University of Dayton.
I have known Virgil Vaduva to be someone who deeply cares about freedom, liberty and the American way of life.
Vaduva’s past, which involved life in a Communist country and business ownership, shaped him into someone who is experienced and can handle the hard hits of life and politics.
His desire to serve and participate in the political life here in the Dayton area is genuine, and I believe that he can deliver what Greene County needs: a real conservative candidate willing and able to pursue the real changes needed today by the GOP.
The political atmosphere in the area is in dire need of new faces, and Virgil Vaduva is one of them.
It is my pleasure to offer my endorsement for his candidacy for Greene County commissioner.
This letter of endorsement for Alan Anderson was written by Phillip Parker, president of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and a resident of Beavercreek.
I support Alan Anderson for his re-election.
Our two families’ histories go back about 100 years in Greene County, and we have known each other for a number of years.
Our sons went to the same college together, and I was one of the citizens who encouraged Anderson’s first election.
Anderson is a lawyer, farmer and businessman. He has great moral character and deeply cares about the people of our county and region.
His first term has been a great learning experience as to the needs of our area.
That experience and concern for the good of Greene County and the region will make him even more ready for the challenges that lie before us.
Experience, devotion, character and values are surely what count in today’s political environment.
