Those who don’t understand why and how President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize need to understand that the prize goes to someone who has done a great deal in promoting the accomplishment of peace.
Some are saying, “He hasn’t done anything but make speeches.” However, they fail to realize that President Obama’s speeches regarding his vision for the whole world brought many nations to appreciate what this world could be.
Obama’s speeches brought a society known for its past racist policies to change its attitude and elect for the very first time a black man to lead the most powerful nation in the world. That in itself is worthy of the prize.
Obama’s speeches caused the Nobel Peace Prize Committee to appreciate (even more so than many Americans) what an extraordinary and monumental accomplishment it was to bring people of all ethnic groups together and make a person of color their supreme leader.
So, all of you who are on the fringe, or simply just don’t get it, don’t criticize the Nobel Peace Prize Committee for their selection of Barack Obama; give them credit for thinking outside the box.
The committee realized that his election alone was worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. Think about it.

Nice catch on the Supreme Leader comment Ben. Probably a Freudian slip on the part of the letter writer.

By the way, we did not make him the supreme leader - he is merely our president, just like the 43 others that preceeded him.
