Services to seniors dependent on levy
On behalf of the Greene County Council on Aging Board of Directors, I am asking for your “yes” vote on Nov. 3 for the Senior Services Levy/Issue 6.
Our executive director, Karen Puterbaugh, and all of her devoted staff, work tirelessly every day to see that essential services such as meals and home care are provided for our senior family members and neighbors.
For many of the seniors in Greene County, the Council on Aging provides their only safety net, as well as being their primary source for information on what to do after a loss of health insurance or the maze of prescription coverage options with Medicare.
If Issue 6 does not pass, all of these crucial services for our seniors will abruptly end. Furthermore, a defeat of this important levy will result in a critical loss of financial support for all of our senior citizen centers in Greene County.
We have heard the stories from hundreds of you during this levy campaign, relating how important these senior services have been to you and your loved ones.
Your stories of appreciation make it all worthwhile for the council staff and the board. Please support the Senior Services Levy/Issue 6 on Nov. 3. There are many seniors in Greene County who are depending on you.

Agency able to help mother stay in home
I am a member of the Beavercreek Senior Center and have family who live in Miami County. They called and asked how they could get help so their 85-year-old mother could stay in her farm home.
I called the Greene County Council on Aging and told a representative the story. They were so helpful in directing the family to a place in Miami County.
My aunt received the help and is able to stay in her home.
Help is near if you have someone to listen to your problems. Thank you, Greene County Council on Aging.
