Sugarcreek's Daugherty mindful of township’s heritage

I am writing in support of Nadine Daugherty for re-election to Sugarcreek Twp. trustee. I have known Daugherty for close to eight years through our work together on the Open Space Advisory Committee and the ad hoc group reviewing township zoning codes.

There is no doubt she puts the well-being and betterment of our township first and foremost in her role as trustee and is worthy of our vote.

Daugherty is a lifelong resident of Bellbrook, so she completely understands the heritage and history of Sugarcreek Twp. She actively works to preserve this heritage through Save Our Sugarcreek efforts, support of the Open Space Advisory Committee and development of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

Daugherty also understands the need for development and growth, but in a controlled and orderly fashion. She opposes the “Limited Home Rule” initiative on the ballot. She believes this is an option for the township, but there needs to be more study and citizen input before implementing this critical measure.

She is most concerned with the ongoing annexation threats the township faces.

I encourage all my friends and neighbors to vote for Nadine Daugherty on Nov. 3.
