A recent article “Tea Party PAC backs Morgan for state auditor,” March 13, by William Hershey contained inaccuracies.

The statement that “The Ohio Liberty Council is made up of Ohio’s Tea Party groups, 912 groups and other grass-roots organizations throughout the state” (the campaign said) is unfortunately based on false information or a lack of understanding of Ohio Political Action Committee rules and requirements.

For the Ohio Liberty Council to officially speak for all the Ohio Tea Party groups would mean that a relationship had been established and identified as such to the Ohio Elections Commission. This has not happened in Darke County.

The Darke T.E.A. Patriots is a registered PAC and has no relationship with the Ohio Liberty Council.
