Young has a significant record of leadership

Voters in Centerville and Washington Twp. should note that Joyce Young, running for re-election as a township trustee, has a significant record of leadership.

She has served as a trustee for 14 years.  She has served as president of the board of trustees for several terms.

Her list of leadership responsibilities goes on and on: founding member of the South Suburban Coalition for Alcohol and Drug Free Youth, founder of the Centerville-Washington Diversity Council; past board member of the Washington Centerville Public Library, board liaison to Hithergeen Center, co-chair of the Steering Committee for Create the Vision, Montgomery County Citizen of the year, Dayton Daily News Top Ten Women, and the President’s Club Legion of Honor for Service.

Young has the leadership skills, experience and integrity to get the job done.

There is more work
for Young to get done

Those who have followed and admired Joyce Young’s outstanding record of community service are often in awe of her expertise, energy and extraordinary sense of integrity. I am one of them.

Many give thought to devoting time to a governing body, but few are willing to step in and actually serve, as Young has done.

Scores of Washington Twp. residents are well aware of the contributions Young has made as a township trustee. They respect her sincere efforts to assure a solid future for this area. She isn’t finished yet. There is more work to be done.

Re-elect Joyce Young so that she may continue with the noteworthy projects she has started.

Before making a decision, Young listens, asks questions

I have known Joyce Young for 25 years and I greatly admire her personal strength. On a daily basis, Young lives a life of grit, purpose and integrity.

Many residents of Washington Twp. recognize and appreciate her strong leadership skills. It is a rare person who listens, asks questions, and thinks before reaching a decision; Young does.

Her effective negotiating skills and her outstanding leadership abilities have benefited our community for over 14 years.

Young is a hardworking, dedicated public servant

I have known and worked with Joyce Young for many years on various community committees and projects. She is a hardworking, dedicated public servant, whose efforts have been recognized through appointments to statewide and national committees.

I admire her willingness to continue to serve on behalf of the citizens of Washington Twp., which includes the city of Centerville. Joyce Young and I have committed to working together to do all we can to enhance the wonderful community in which we live, and I endorse her for Washington Twp. trustee.
