Children deserve effective schools
I have had the privilege of being the principal of Arrowood Elementary School in Xenia for the past 12 years. In that time, I have seen firsthand the outstanding teaching and parent support that characterize the Xenia schools.
Also, I have witnessed the intense need for new buildings at the elementary level. Our children deserve safe, comfortable places in which to learn. They deserve updated technology to compete at the secondary and college levels.
As seniors, it is our responsibility to take care of the generations to come. Others did it for us and now it is our turn.
Our children are our future. Please support Issue 28.

Quality schools benefit everyone
As experienced Realtors for almost 20 years, we know one of the first things a buyer moving into this area asks about is the schools. First impressions mean so much. When driving through the community, it is extremely important to see well-cared-for and quality-built schools. This will have a positive impact on home values and the rate of return on our investment will far exceed the small cost of voting yes on Issue 28.
With new schools also comes a sense of pride for our students and as a result, test scores will continue to soar.
Xenia homes sales are making a rally and with the construction of five new elementary schools, home values will continue to rise.
Anytime you can use “free money” from the state to improve your community, you should exhaust all efforts to do so. If we do not, it will cost all of us more when the inevitable is upon us.
Please vote yes on Issue 28. Our community is counting on you and most importantly, the children deserve it.
