Bayless has proven problem-solving skills

I wish to endorse Marsha Bayless as mayor of Xenia. As a physician and small business owner, I am acutely aware of the serious problems facing our city.

Governing representatives need tact, reasoning, intelligence, experience with difficult problems, and the ability to understand opposing sides of all issues. They must build consensus for the resolution of difficult issues while eliminating barriers built by differences of opinion.

Bayless possesses these qualifications and stands “head and shoulders” above the other candidate. As our mayor she can help resolve difficult issues and make Xenia a destination city.

A typical example of Bayless’ leadership capabilities occurred 17 years ago when our school board evaluated a year-round curriculum option. It created two opposing groups of citizens and many heated debates.

Bayless assessed this difficult problem, evaluated the concerns of the opposing sides, and found a common ground on which to build consensus. Using tact and leadership she created an environment of resolution that allowed our children to prosper.

Today McKinley Elementary School allows families to seek alternative educational options and Xenia is a a city families move to for year-round education and regional experts visit to see our educational process in action.

Marsha Bayless has the skills needed to lead us and I urge Xenians to vote for her Nov. 3.

Bayless dedicated to community’s welfare

On Nov. 3 the citizens of Xenia will have the opportunity to elect an outstanding individual for mayor by casting their vote in favor of Marsha Bayless.

A lifelong resident of Xenia, she has dedicated herself to the community by serving for 35 ears as a teacher, guidance counselor and elementary principal.

Her leadership skills and qualities of integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to work cooperatively with others qualify her to serve in city government. Her dedication to the welfare of the community is second to none.

I support Marsha Bayless and urge the citizens of Xenia to elect her mayor of their fine city.
