Man not guilty in deadly crash

Former prosecutor James Berry was found not guilty on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, of leaving the scene of an accident that killed a Springfield Twp. man on May 4.

Authorities from the RANGE task force executed a drug search raid at 671 Carlisle Ave., Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2012, in Dayton, Ohio. Officials seized several large black garbage bags full o high-grade pot plants. Three other locations were also targets of raids Wednesday. Several dogs were also taken by authorities.

Man free after serving 20 years

Roger Dean Gillispie returned to his Fairborn home after being released from prison, Thursday, Dec. 22, after 20 years. Gillispie was convicted in 2 rapes but has always maintained innocence.

2 killed in car crash

Two young people died early Saturday morning on Nov. 19, 2011 when a suspected drunken driver, reportedly going more than 100 mph, ran into their car at the Wayne and Wilmington avenues junction at about 1:45 a.m.

Strip club raid arrests

State and local law enforcement agents executed search warrants Wednesday, Nov. 16, on the Zodiac Lounge, 4216 Linden Ave., and the K.C. Lounge, 4766 Airway Road in Riverside. Seven people were arrested as a result.

Urbana police are investigating a crime scene in the 500-block of Dorothy Moore Avenue in Urbana, where an 87-year-old man was found with severe injuries inside his home Tuesday morning.

SUV found in river

Dayton police and firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Carillon Park Boulevard after receiving a report of an unoccupied vehicle in the Great Miami River, near Carillon Historical Park shortly after 6:30 a.m. Monday.
