Campaign yard signs

John Woodman, Community Program Specialist at the Recycling Resource Center, Encrete Drive in Moraine with a collection of signs to be recycled. The swath of political yards signs that litter roadsides during election season often end up in a landfill. But, the light plastic signs and metal frames are 100 percent recyclable and Montgomery County is making a push to keep them out of the trash. Through Nov. 30, anyone can drop off their old campaign signs as part of a free recycling program. Staff photo by Jim Witmer
