A candlelight vigil was held at Northeastern High School after Tuesday's basketball game on Dec. 4, 2012, to honor 18-year-old Cady Reed, a 2012 graduate of Northeastern who died in a car accident early Sunday morning. A spirit rock which was a recent addition at the front of the campus was painted pink in Reed's honor and adorned with candles and roses as students shared prayers and sang "Amazing Grace." Members of Reed's family spoke briefly and urged students to stay safe on the roads.
