Woman accused of trying to get drugs into Warren jail

LEBANON — An Akron woman arrested Sunday on charges accusing her of bringing drugs into the Warren County Institution is to appear in Lebanon Municipal Court today.
Rachel L. Cyrus, 31, is charged with conveying drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility and drug possession, both felonies, the Ohio Highway Patrol said Monday.

Troopers and Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigators were tipped Cyrus would be bringing drugs to her boyfriend. She was searched when she arrived, and approximately 18 grams of marijuana and 2 grams of crack cocaine were found in her vehicle, according to the patrol.
The patrol investigates criminal activity on state-owned and leased property.
