Miami Insider -- Q&A with hockey team's Geoff Smith
Friday, February 16, 2007
Q What has been your most memorable moment on the ice?
A When we won the CCHA championship last season, that was a big moment, but during my freshman year we were in the CCHA playoffs with a chance to move on to The Joe (the CCHA Super Six championship at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit). I got a pass to Todd Grant and he buried it for the game-winning goal in overtime against Lake Superior State. His father had just passed away, and Todd had been playing great hockey, so it was really nice.
Extras
Q What three items would comprise your favorite meal?
A I'd start off with some mussels with some good sauce and bread. I'm a really big fan of dim sum. Finally, some of my grandmother's lemon meringue pie, which is to die for.
Q What is your favorite TV show?
A "Family Guy", and "24", too. We always have a night when we have the guys come over and watch "24".
Q What is the worst thing about college life?
A The worst thing was the 8 o'clock morning classes during my freshman year when I didn't really have a choice.
Q Who is your favorite musician or musical group?
A I love Bob Marley, especially in the summer when I'm relaxing on the beach. It's really laid back.
