Miami opened the scoring just 1:47 into the game when junior Nathan Davis chipped puck past New Hampshire goaltender Kevin Regan. Miami junior Ryan Jones made it 2-0 with a goal 39 seconds into the third period.

UNH scored in the final minute, but Miami, led by goaltender Jeff Zatkoff, hung on for the victory.
