Men's basketball to open season with Xavier
OXFORD — Miami University's men's basketball team will open its 2007-08 season at home at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, against Xavier.

The RedHawks also have announced two exhibition games. Miami will host Saginaw Valley State at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 1, and California (Pa.) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8.
Drobnick tapped National Golfer of the Week
OXFORD — Miami University freshman golfer Michael Drobnick has been named GolfWeek Magazine's National Golfer of the Week, the publication announced Monday.
Drobnick fired a 70 on the par 72 course in Tuesday's final round to seize individual medalist honors at the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate Sept. 24-25, posting an even par 216 over three rounds. Drobnick's first-place individual finish marked Miami's first top individual finish since Ben Wood tied for first at the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate on April 29, 2007.
Reihman earns MAC honor
CLEVELAND — Coming off solid all-around performances in wins over No. 17 Ohio and Kent State, Miami University senior middle hitter Carli Reihman earned Mid-American Conference East Division Volleyball Player of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.
Reihman collected nine kills, four service aces, four digs, and six blocks against the nationally ranked Bobcats. In the RedHawks' match against Kent State, Reihman posted 11 kills, while hitting at a .455 clip, and served up three more aces.
