Miami women's hoops picked to finish third in MAC East

CLEVELAND – Miami University's women's basketball team was picked to finish third in the Mid-American Conference East Division, the conference announced Thursday at its annual media day.
The RedHawks received 183 voting points to finish behind Ohio (210) and Bowling Green (187). Kent State was picked fourth, followed by Buffalo and Akron.

Ball State was the top choice in the West Division, followed by Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Toledo and Central Michigan.
Miami opens the season Nov. 9 when it visits Notre Dame in the first round of the WNIT.
