Miami still atop national poll

The top-ranked Miami University hockey team widened its lead over No. 2 Michigan in the United States College Hockey Online.com/CSTV poll released Monday.
The RedHawks (18-2-0) received 24 first-place votes and 743 total points, compared to 12 first-place votes and 727 points for Michigan (18-2-0). Miami led Michigan by just four points in the previous poll.

Miami, which defeated St. Cloud State and Ohio State over the weekend to win the Ohio Hockey Classic, returns to Central Collegiate Hockey Association play Friday and Saturday at Bowling Green.
