OXFORD — Miami University starting quarterback Clay Belton will not play in the RedHawks' upcoming game against the 16th-ranked Ball State Cardinals, Miami coach Shane Montgomery announced Friday, Nov. 7 at his weekly press conference.

Junior Daniel Raudabaugh will start in place of Belton, who was injured during Miami's 37-17 loss at Buffalo earlier this week.

"He just got hit a couple times, the last was a helmet to his chest," Montgomery said of Belton, who sat out the rest of the game. "He's very sore. And there are a couple things going on shoulder-wise that we'll be checking on the next couple days."

Raudabaugh had started the first six games this season before being replaced by Belton.

Miami will play Ball State at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Yager Stadium in a game which will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
