CLEVELAND — Four members of the Miami University football team were named to the all-Mid-American Conference first team.
Senior place-kicker Nate Parseghian, junior punter Jake Richardson, senior outside linebacker Clayton Mullins and senior middle linebacker Joey Hudson all made the first squad for the RedHawks.
It was the third time Hudson had received all-MAC recognition; he was named to the second team in 2006 and '07. It was the second selection for Mullins, who also made the first team last season.
Miami senior defensive end Joe Coniglio and senior strong safety Robbie Wilson were third-team selections, as was sophomore wide receiver Eugene Harris for his role as a punt return specialist.
Ball State earned three of the major individual awards in voting by the MAC News Media Association. Brady Hoke was named MAC Coach of the Year, quarterback Nate Davis was named Offensive Player of the Year, and defensive back Sean Baker was named Freshman of the Year.
Northern Illinois defensive end Larry English was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Central Michigan's Antonio Brown was named Special Teams Player of the Year.
