QB Smith, Piqua's Pitcock earn All-America honors

Ohio State defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock was named a first-team All-American on Wednesday by the American Football Coaches Association.

Pitcock, a senior from Piqua, led the Buckeyes with eight sacks despite missing one game with a concussion. He was second on the team with 11 tackles for losses.

Extras

Quarterback Troy Smith was also named an AFCA first-team All-American after throwing a school-record 30 touchdown passes with just five interceptions.
