Ohio State lands 6-foot-1 junior college transfer

Ohio State added junior college transfer P.J. Hill to its roster for the 2007-2008 season, coach Thad Matta said Tuesday.

Hill, a 6-foot-1, 165-pound point guard, played at Midland College in Texas last season, where he averaged 6.5 points a game on a team that went 29-8 and won the 2007 National Junior College Athletics Association national championship.

Hill gives the Buckeyes depth at point guard, Matta said in a statement. Hill will have three years of playing eligibility at Ohio State, Matta said.
