Coach: Tim Brewster Starters returning: 8 on offense, 7 on defense
Positive vibes: Optimism surrounds Minnesota's new TCF Bank Stadium, which will open in 2009. The Gophers could use a better season to prepare, and they do return 15 starters.
Negative vibes: Tough to be optimistic after a one-win season, although Brewster is one of the more energetic coaches in the conference.
