Since 1951, Ohio State is 29-26-2 against Michigan, including victories in six of the seven games under head coach Jim Tressel. The teams first met in 1897 and the rivalry has been continuous since 1918. Here's a look at the last 10 meetings:
1998: Ohio State 31, Michigan 16 (Columbus)
. . . One of John Cooper's two wins over Michigan en route to going 2-10-1 against the Wolverines.
1999: Michigan, 24, Ohio State 17 (Ann Arbor) . . . Senior quarterback Tom Brady throws game-winning TD pass to sophomore Marquise Walker.
2000: Michigan, 38, Ohio State 26 (Columbus) . . . Cooper's last Michigan game as OSU head coach and the result is familiar.
2001: Ohio State 26, Michigan 20 (Ann Arbor) . . . Tressel joins the rivalry as OSU head coach and the Buckeyes win for the first time in Michigan Stadium in 14 years.
2002: Ohio State 14, Michigan 9 (Columbus) . . . Game is decided on the last play when Will Allen intercepts a pass in the end zone as time expires. OSU freshman running back Maurice Clarett gains 119 yards and scores a touchdown.
2003: Michigan 35, Ohio State 21 (Ann Arbor) . . . Future Bengals running back Chris Perry (154 rushing yards, two TDs) and future Browns receiver Braylon Edwards (7 catches, 130 yards, two TDs) help Wolverines win 100th meeting.
2004: Ohio State 37, Michigan 21 (Columbus) . . . Wolverines are 9-1, Buckeyes 6-4. But it doesn't matter as OSU scores 27 unanswered points after falling behind 14-7.
2005: Ohio State 25, Michigan 21 (Ann Arbor) . . . Antonio Pittman's short TD run caps game-winning, 88-yard drive with 25 seconds remaining.
2006: Ohio State 42, Michigan 39 (Columbus) . . . Troy Smith completes 29 of 41 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns as No. 1 OSU beats No. 2 Michigan.
2007: Ohio State 14, Michigan 3 (Ann Arbor) . . . Chris "Beanie" Wells runs for career-high 222 yards as OSU clinches third straight Big Ten title. Tressel makes it four in a row and six out of seven over "that team up north."
