With four games remaining until the University of Dayton men's basketball team faces one of its two marquee nonconference opponents in Louisville, here's a look at what those four upcoming opponents have done so far this season:

Southern Methodist University (0-3)

Extras

When: Saturday

Where: UD Arena

The skinny: The Mustangs lost their first three to Southern, Alabama State and Centenary. Senior guard Jon Killen leads the team in scoring at 16 points per game, but their roster also includes Bamba Fall and Papa Dia, for you sign-makers out there.

Miami (1-0)

When: Wednesday

Where: Millett Hall, Oxford

The skinny: The RedHawks started with a bang in their 59-57 season-opening victory against Xavier, and they'll head to the Anaheim Classic for the next three days, where they could face USC and Mississippi State. Forward Tim Pollitz (9-for-13, 20 points in opener), as expected, is the main force.

Holy Cross (4-0)

When: Dec. 1

Where: Hart Center, Worcester, Mass.

The skinny: In beating Hofstra, Fairfield, Hampton and Harvard, four Crusaders have averaged double-figures in points, led by 6-11 senior center Tim Clifford (13.5). One key: Keeping them off the line. The five starters have made 66-of-80 free throws (82.5 percent).

High Point (2-2)

When: Dec. 5

Where: UD Arena

The skinny: Senior forward Arizona Reid, the reigning Big South Conference player of the year, has starred in four games (26 points-11 rebounds, 19-10, 29-8, 14-10) as the Panthers rebounded from losses to Charlotte and Utah with wins against mighty New Jersey Tech and daunting Warren Wilson College.
