"I just know he's real athletic," OSU's David Lighty said of Wright. "He was like their hustle man early in the season."
When asked how much he expected Wright to play, Matta said: "I would imagine as much as they need him to."

Matta said OSU's hoops schedule is a year-to-year issue and indicated that big TV games are more important than just adding Ohio teams like Dayton.

"The reason we don't play Ohio teams is so I don't have to answer all these questions," Matta half-joked. "Geez, we play (one) and you want two, we play two and you want three."
Matta pointed out OSU has played Kent State, Youngstown, Cleveland State, Cincinnati and Xavier in his tenure and has UD on tap. Of course, it took postseason tourney matchups for the Buckeyes to meet the Musketeers and Flyers.

Troy graduate Matt Terwilliger makes his final home appearance at OSU tonight. He's a self-deprecating fan favorite who has developed a strong outside shot and even dived out of bounds going for steals against California on Monday night.
"I think that you look from where he started and the lessons that he learned early in his career to right now, without a doubt, I think he's playing his best basketball," Matta said. "He's got the most confidence that he's ever had. He knows what his role is. He's doing a great job of it."
He and fellow senior Jamar Butler have won more career games than any other OSU players. "This one really is my last home game," Terwilliger said. "It's got to come to an end sometime, so I guess it might as well come against a team like Dayton."

Matta said he didn't get the scoop on the Flyers from Xavier coach Sean Miller, Matta's close friend.

There was this guy see. He wasn’t very bright and he reached his adult life without ever having learned “the facts”. Somehow, it gets to be his wedding day. While he is walking down the isle, his father tugs his sleeve and says,
“Son, when you get to the hotel room…Call me”
Hours later he gets to the hotel room with his beautiful blushing bride and he calls his father,
“Dad, we are the hotel, what do I do?”
“O.K. Son, listen up, take off your clothes and get in the bed, then she should take off her clothes and get in the bed, if not help her. Then either way, ah, call me”
A few moments later…
“Dad we took off our clothes and we are in the bed, what do I do?”
O.K. Son, listen up. Move real close to her and she should move real close to you, and then… Ah, call me.”
A few moments later…
“DAD! WE TOOK OFF OUR CLOTHES, GOT IN THE BED AND MOVED REAL CLOSE, WHAT DO I DO???”
“O.K. Son, Listen up, this is the most important part. Stick the long part of your body into the place where she goes to the bathroom.”
A few moments later…
“Dad, I’ve got my foot in the toilet, what do I do?”
