About Bethune Cookman
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference team has overhauled its roster after going 11-21 last year. The Wildcats have finished .500 or better only once since joining Division I in 1976, going 15-15 in 2005-06.
About Dayton
The Flyers are shooting just 38.5 percent from the floor and need to develop a consistent perimeter game to open driving lanes for explosive players like Marcus Johnson and Chris Wright.
Outlook
The Flyers get to ease into the Chicago Invitational Challenge, but the road gets tougher after this with games against Mercer (which has beaten Auburn and Alabama of the SEC), Auburn and Marquette.
Quote
"We spend a lot of time figuring out which teams to play that will have good years (to help the Flyers' RPI)," UD coach Brian Gregory said. "A lot of times, my assistants, with their research, are right on the money."
