MINNEAPOLIS — After finishing last season with 12 more turnovers than assists, University of Dayton junior London Warren displayed his newfound steadiness on a national stage by tallying nine assists with just one turnover in a 68-60 win over West Virginia on Friday, March 20.
His average of 2.4 assists for every turnover this season is the second-best ratio in the Atlantic 10, and he's been at his best while getting increased playing time in the 10 games since the Flyers lost his point-guard partner, Rob Lowery, to a season-ending knee injury, producing 67 assists with just 15 turnovers in that span.
"They got great point-guard play (against West Virginia)," Kansas coach Bill Self said. "He got the ball into the paint. He forced help. And when you're that aggressive, and you have nine assists and one turnover, that means you're making great decisions with the ball.
"I can't speak for (UD coach Brian Gregory), but his value to the team at the defensive end is as much as it is at the offensive end as well. He's a good lead guard."
