MINNEAPOLIS — Nobody is giving the University of Dayton men's basketball team much of a chance against defending national champion Kansas in the second round of the NCAA tournament, but sophomore star Chris Wright doesn't put much stock in what others may think.
The 11th-seeded Flyers also had their naysayers before upsetting sixth-seeded West Virginia in their NCAA opener — 83 percent of the nation picked UD to lose in an ESPN online poll — and oddsmakers have made the third-seeded Jayhawks an 8-point favorite today.
"I always like when people underestimate you or put you at a lower seed," Wright said. "But we don't really pay attention to that. We do what we have to do and play our game."
