Roundup of Friday's other games: Week 5

Alter (5-0) continued to play like the No. 1 Division III team in the state poll with a 34-0 win over Cincinnati Roger Bacon Friday night. The game, played at Centerville, was called with 2:30 left in the third quarter because of lightning, which delayed or suspended many area contests.

The Alter defense held Roger Bacon to no first downs. Corey Roark had two touchdowns on short runs.

Milton-Union 19, Valley View 14: Mitchell Evans hit Eric Antonides with a six-yard scoring pass with 3:57 left as the Bulldogs made their record 5-0. Evans had 211 yards rushing on 27 carries. Valley View fell to 1-4.

Colonel White 52, Belmont 6: The Cougars are 4-1 after piling up over 565 yards rushing in a game called with 3:40 to go in the third quarter. Ryan Jones led the way with 242 yards on 10 carries and TD runs of 35, 36 and 62 yards. Steven Surles added 117 yards and three scores.

Trotwood-Madison 11, Beavercreek 10 OT: QB Domonick Britt ran for the two-point conversion to give the Rams (4-1) the win. Dre Ellis kicked a 38-yard field goal in the third quarter to give Trotwood a 3-0 lead. Beavercreek tied it with 1:32 remaining on a 30-yard field goal Pat Williams. The Beavers took a 10-3 lead on the first possession in the OT on a one-yard run by Dee Wallace and a Willams PAT. Trotwood scored on its possession on a one-yard run by Britt, went for the win with two-point try and converted.

Centerville 42, Xenia 0: This game was called at halftime. Centerville (3-2) dominated with 254 yards rushing on 40 plays. James Cravens ran for three short touchdowns. Will Johnson has 67 yards rushing on five carries and a TD while Taneareus Collins went for 62 yards on six tries and caught a 33-yard TD pass from Grant Mink. Xenia had 16 yards of total offense on 21 plays.

Vandalia Butler 28, Springboro 3: Logan Zechar scored twice as the Aviators moved to 3-2 in a game called with 9:21 to go in the third quarter.

Fairborn 33, Sidney 17: The Skyhawks (4-1) won their fourth straight as QB Josh Copeland rushed 17 times for 215 yards and three TDs and was 7 of 13 passing for 189 yards and two TDs.

Cin. McNicholas 17, Chaminade-Julienne 10: McNick handed C-J (2-3) its second straight loss. The game was tied at 10 when it was suspended midway in the fourth quarter. When the teams returned, McNick put together the winning drive with Steve Rice scoring on a 27-yard run with 1:36 remaining. C-J's scoring came on a 69-yard pass from Kurt Hess to Travis Jackson and a 42-yard field goal and extra point by Zack Miller.

Brookville 46, Dixie 13: The Blue Devils (4-1) defeated the Greyhounds for the 11th straight time as Zach Lammers threw a pair of TD passes.

Tippecanoe 30, Greenon 3: David Strawser threw a pair of TD passes as the Red Devils improved to 4-1.

Tecumseh 35, Graham 0: The Arrows are 5-0 with the game called with 8:42 remaining. They had 341 yards rushing with Tony Pellergrino and Cory Arthur each scoring twice.

Urbana 34, Stebbins 0: This game was also called at halftime as the Hillclimbers moved to 5-0. QB Joey Hurd threw touchdown passes of 27 and 54 yards to Dan Haddix and ran five yards for a third score. Haddix had six catches for 144 yards. The defense provided two other scores. Kyle Mossberger returned a pass interception 50 yards for a TD. Mark Poppel blocked a punt that was recovered in the end zone by Wade Miller.

Fort Loramie 26, New Miami 0: Mitch Westerheide scored all four TDs as Loramie moved to 4-1. He had 148 yards rushing on 27 carries and TD runs of 10, 51 and two yards. He also caught a 25-yard scoring pass from Jay Schulze.

Arcanum 21, Mississinawa Valley 6: Tim Haney scored twice as the Trojans (4-1) won their fourth straight and go 4-0 in the Cross County Conference.

Ansonia 20, Bethel 14: Chance Cox scored the winning touchdown for the Tigers on a 52-yard run with 3:22 left in the third quarter. The loss was the first for 4-1 Bethel, while Ansonia is 3-2. Both are 3-1 in the CCC. Eric Beisner had 217 yards on 32 carries and two TDs for Ansonia.

Clinton-Massie 41, Miami Trace 14: Tyler Sargent was six of 12 passing for 186 yards, one TD and set up three others for the 5-0 Falcons.

Northeastern 57, Greeneview 0: The Rams (0-5) continued to struggle.

They lost five fumbles and had 47 yards of total offense. Bryant Foreman has 185 yards on 10 carries and four touchdowns for Northeastern.

Mechanicsburg 26, Catholic Central 7: The loss was the first for the 4-1 Irish. The defense and special teams did the job for Mechanicsburg (4-1) scoring on a 59-yard pass interception and a 52-yard punt return.
