There will be no back-to-back Division III state volleyball championships for the Anna High School girls.

The 2006 state champs were eliminated by Versailles, 25-18, 25-20, 25-22, in the D-III regional semifinals at Wilmington on Wednesday. Versailles (24-2) was No. 2 in the final state coaches ratings while Anna (23-4) was No. 4.

Versailles will play perennial state power Cincinnati Roger Bacon (18-8) in the regional final Saturday. Bacon took out Heath High School in the other semi, 25-23, 25-23, 25-17.

Versailles was unchallenged in the first two games, jumping out to 10-3 and 10-4 leads. Anna led early in the third game, but Versailles tied it at 20-all and prevailed.

Justine Raterman dominated at the net for the winners while Emily Bohman had an outstanding defensive game.

In the D-III regional at Liberty-Benton, St. Henry lost to Huron 26-24, 25-15, 25-11

Division I: Cincinnati Ursuline defeated Vandalia Butler in a regional semifinal at Butler 25-16, 25-21, 25-17. Austen Thomas has 24 assists, Brittany Holland 15 digs and Kerry Winchester seven kills for Butler (16-11).

Ursuline (19-7) meets Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame, a 25-22, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19 winner over Cincinnati St. Ursula, in the regional final Saturday at 4 p.m.
