High Schools

In an event open to the public, the Stivers High School Athletic Hall of Fame will induct 16 members at a gala luncheon Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Presidential Banquet Center in Kettering.

Among those to be enshrined are Olympic medalist and world diving champion Tom Gompf; All-Big Ten golfer and current thoroughbred owner and trainer George Smith; and former Ohio Mr. Basketball and NBA player Frankie J. Sanders.

Former University of Dayton basketball coach Don Donoher will be the master of ceremonies at the noon event. WHIO-TV sportscaster Margaret Brosko will provide introductions.
