Toledo Central Catholic wins D-II state volleyball title

Toledo Central Catholic won its first state championship Saturday at the 33rd state girls volleyball tournament at Wright State's Nutter Center.

The Irish defeated Columbus Hartley, 25-19, 26-24, 25-17, in the Division II title game. They finish the year at 25-4.

Extras

Ashley Frazier, a 6-foot-2 senior who will play her college volleyball at Alabama, led TCC with 15 kills and 12 digs. Amanda Arnold added 10 kills, 22 assists and 10 digs.

Teresa Trucco had 11 kills and 13 digs for Hartley (24-5).
