Postseason volleyball tourney begins for GWOC

The Greater Western Ohio Conference begins its first postseason volleyball tournament today, Sept. 30. The coaches met on Sunday and seeded all 16 teams.
Play will be in a bracket format with No. 1 playing No. 16, No. 2 vs. No 15, etc. The games continue with Thursday's quarterfinals, semifinals on Tuesday, Oct. 7 and the final on Thursday, Oct. 9.
Teams will all play four games with the higher seed hosting.
The seeded teams, 1-16, in order were: Lebanon, Troy, Centerville, Vandalia Butler, Beavercreek, Fairmont, Springfield, Springboro, Fairborn, Miamisburg, Piqua, Wayne, Northmont, Sidney, Xenia and Trotwood-Madison.
Beavercreek and Centerville tied for the GWOC Central title at 4-1. Troy won the North at 4-0 and Lebanon the South, also at 4-0.
