HUBER HEIGHTS — Wayne sophomore quarterback Braxton Miller has been offered an athletic scholarship to play football at Ohio State University.

According to a webcast report during Friday's Wayne-Beavercreek football game, the injured sophomore was offered by the Buckeyes on Thursday. He cannot sign with OSU until February of his senior year.

Cincinnati also offered Miller a scholarship last February.

Miller, 6-feet-2, 190 pounds, injured his right leg in Week 6 against Northmont and is lost for the rest of the season. He completed 59 of 113 passes this season (52.2 percent) for 642 yards, good for five touchdowns and two interceptions.

Other Wayne standouts who have played for OSU include current starting linebacker Marcus Freeman ('04 grad), Will Allen ('00), John Hollins ('00) and Arnie Jones ('71).
