The Beavercreek High School boys soccer team defeated Upper Arlington 3-2 Saturday, Oct. 11, behind a goal and an assist from senior Collin Greer. Beavercreek's record improves to 14-1-1.
Chaminade-Julienne 1, Alter 1: Austin Heminger's penalty kick tied the game for Alter. C-J's record moves to 5-7-4; Alter's goes to 6-6-4.
Girls soccer
Troy Christian 3, Yellow Springs 1: Troy Christian wrapped up its season taking first place in the Metro Buckeye Conference. Taylor Hefferon scored two goals for the Eagles. Troy Christian improves to 9-3-3; Yellow Springs falls to 8-8.
Cross country
In the Southwestern Buckeye League Championships 5K run, Peter Hix of Oakwood took first place for the individuals in the boys Southwest Division with a final time of 16 minutes, 24.7 seconds. Bellbrook took first for team scores with a score of 49.
In the Buckeye Division, Kyle Volk of Northridge took first with a final time of 18:28.2. Waynesville took first place for team scores with a score of 30.
Angela Klimkowski led Milton-Union to first place in team scores for the girls Southwestern Division with a final time of 18:50.5.
Volleyball
Indian Lake, which was ranked No. 15 in the Division II state poll, lost to Graham in three sets in Tecumseh's D-II sectional. It was Graham coach Brenda Massie's 100th career win.
Carroll lost to Urbana in five sets, and Tippecanoe knocked off Stivers in three sets. Northwestern took three sets to dispatch Shawnee.
