DUNBAR (8-2) vs. WINTON WOODS (9-1)

D-II, Region 8

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Charlie Fredrick Stadium, Cincinnati

Key players: QB/S Steve White, RB Tavion Wright (Dunbar); RB Jeremiah Goins, QB Dominique Brown (Winton Woods).

Quick slants: Winton Woods won the Fort Ancient Valley Conference Buckeye Division at 5-0. Brown has a lot of speed and he and Goins make up an imposing backfield. Dunbar's plan involves slowing that running game down to force passes. White and Co. have speed in the defensive backfield to cover WW's receivers. Offensively, White and Wright must shoulder the load.

TECUMSEH (10-0) vs. MT. ORAB WESTERN BROWN (10-0)

D-II, Region 8

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Spitzer Stadium, New Carlisle

Key players: FB Kyle Sanning, RB Dustin Holmes (Tecumseh); RB Shawn Davis, RB Travis Taylor (Western Brown).

Quick slants: The Arrows blitzed the Central Buckeye Conference and handed league rival Tippecanoe its only loss. Sanning and Holmes each have 800-plus yards rushing. Take Rt. 68 south and keep going to find the Broncos, who did the same to the Southern Buckeye Athletic Conference.

BROOKVILLE (10-0) vs. ALTER (8-2)

D-IV, Region 16

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Brookville H.S.

Key players: RB/DB Josh Doles, RB Jason Stone (Brookville); QB Austin Boucher, RB Chris Borland (Alter).

Quick slants: Neither team lost on the field this season since Alter's losses were by forfeit. In what could be the state's toughest region, the Blue Devils hope home field helps. Alter will have a size advantage in many battles, but Brookville likely has more speed than the average team Alter has played.

JONATHAN ALDER (8-2) vs. OAKWOOD (7-3)

D-IV, Region 16

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Volunteer Field, Plain City

Key players: QB Eric Wrightsel, RB Taylor Yutzey (Alder); QB Robby Sherk, RB/LB Tony Lamb (Oakwood).

Quick slants: Alder just saw its 33-game home winning streak end last week to Clinton-Massie. The Pioneers are driven by Wrightsel who, like Sherk, is a running quarterback. The Lumberjacks likely will concentrate on stopping Wrightsel and finding some help for Sherk if Oakwood is to hand Alder a two-game home losing streak.

NORTH COLLEGE HILL (7-3) vs. COLDWATER (10-0)

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Cavalier Stadium, Coldwater

Key players: QB Cory Klenke, RB Tony Harlamert (Coldwater); QB Dakota Dartis, RB Everett Horne (North College Hill).

Quick slants: Points could be plentiful with a pair of shotgun spread offenses. University of Cincinnati verbal Horne is explosive. He put up 332 yards rushing vs. Cincinnati Christian on nine carries and in Week 10 had 254 to beat Lockland in a must-win. Coldwater opens defense of its state title allowing just six points and 90 yards rushing. A 23-0 win over Anna is the Cavaliers' closest game.

CLINTON-MASSIE (10-0) vs. HAMILTON BADIN (7-3)

D-VI, Region 24

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Frank Irelan Field, Clarksville

Key players: RB/DB Logan McCormick, RB Jordon Scanlon, (C-M); QB Zach Toerner (Badin).

Quick slants: The South Central Ohio League belongs to the Falcons. McCormick is a double threat, having scored 11 TDs to go with 10 INTs. Scanlon has 994 yards rushing. The 6-4 Toerner provides the Rams' fireworks, having completed 150-of-265 passes for 2,282 yards and 14 TDs. He also leads the Greater Catholic League Central champs in rushing (617). WRs Alex Rieman (48 catches) and Scott Staarmann (32) both have more than 600 yards receiving.

LOCKLAND (7-3) vs. COVINGTON (8-2)

D-VI, Region 24

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Smith Field, Covington

Key players: QB Dawaun Smith, RB Na'eem Maxberry (Lockland); QB Jake Bitner, LB Teddy Hale (Covington).

Quick slants: Lockland finished third in Miami Valley Conference behind Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy and North College Hill. A three-back power attack leads the way. Schedule with four playoff teams prepared Panthers. Covington, a D-VI postseason regular with nine appearances in last 10 seasons, is getting healthy with 20 players missing action at some point.

ANSONIA (7-3) vs. LEHMAN CATHOLIC (8-1)

D-VI, Region 24

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Memorial Stadium, Sidney

Key players: QB Dylan Bubeck, RB Brandon Liette (Ansonia), RB Max Cartwright, RB Kaleb Goins (Lehman).

Quick slants: Ansonia lost to Cross County Conference heavyweights Covington and Miami East in two of last four games. Trojans gave Vikings the biggest CCC scare this season. Cavaliers reached regional final last season. With no league, schedule was lean with just one team (Anna) posting a winning record. Only once have Cavs allowed more than 13 points, a 28-21 loss to Anna in Week 1.

SPR. CATHOLIC CENTRAL (7-3) vs. SCIOTOVILLE COM. (9-1)

D-VI, Region 24

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Portsmouth

Key players: RB Bryan Kelly, QB Brendan Kelly, WR Keegan Kelly, (SCC).

Quick slants: The Kellys have been productive, leading the Irish in passing, receiving and rushing. Sciotoville was 10-0 last season but dropped its playoff opener to a 6-4 team.
