Thurman's case continued to Sept. 5

A judge Tuesday told suspended Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman to return to court Sept. 5, granting a continuance in the case in which he has been accused of violating probation by missing a meeting with his probation officer. If Municipal Court Judge John Burlew decides that Thurman violated probation on his drunken driving conviction, the linebacker could face jail time.
