Henry wants to get back in end zone
NFL says police report over confrontation with parking attendant won't delay Bengals receiver's return from ban.

CINCINNATI — Fresh off an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry met the media on Wednesday for the first time this season.
One ground rule: Henry would answer only football-related questions.
Extras
That's because he got into a confrontation with a parking attendant at Newport on the Levee over a $5 parking fee on Tuesday night. The attendant told police that Henry and another man parked their sport utility vehicle without paying. According to a police incident report, the attendant said Henry argued loudly with him and said, "Don't you know who I am?"
A menacing and harassment complaint against Henry was filed with Newport police. But Henry has not been charged with a crime and, according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, the incident won't affect his playing status on Sunday.
"We're aware of the report, but at this point it appears there's nothing substantive," Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said. "Unless something more substantive would develop, we would not have any further comment."
Henry, who was arrested four times from December 2005 to June 2006, was equal parts remorseful about his suspension and excited about playing at Baltimore.
"It was killing me not being able to play," he said. "I let my teammates down by getting suspended. Me sitting out, it really made me think about how much I miss playing and how much I love the game.
"I learned a lot. I was young. Everything that happened made me mature a little bit more. To the fans, my teammates and coaches, I'm going to prove that everybody can count on me."
Henry caught 36 passes for 605 yards (a 16.8 average) and nine touchdowns last season. He wants to pick up where he left off.
"That's what I do — get in the end zone," he said. "I've just got a knack. Every time I touch the ball, I'm trying to score. I'm a baller."
Henry's dream scenario on Sunday would be "two touchdowns for 150 (yards)."
And a win?
"Yep, a victory," he said.

He is a piece of trash and a common criminal. The NFL is a business. If I repeatedly broke the rules at my company, my butt would have been fired a long time ago. But he’ll come back, catch a few balls, talk about how great he is on ESPN and all will be forgiven. He Bengal fans, answer this question. If the team was in first place and you were putting up 35 points a game, would you be defending him then?? I doubt it. You can have the convict, he’ll crack again soon

PAST BEHAVIOR IS A STRONG INDICATOR OF FUTURE BEHAVIOR,…HENCE HIS LATEST RUN IN WITH THE ATTENDANT…NOTHING HAS CHANGED,…BUT GO AHEAD AND INVITE HIM TO YOUR HOME,…BE PALS…LET HIM HANG OUT WITH YOUR KIDS,..LMAO…SCARY THOUGHT

..WELL,..CONSIDERING HIS MISTAKES ARE,..1)POSSESSION OF DRUGS..2)PROVIDING ALCOHOL TO UNDERAGE GIRLS IN A MOTEL ROOM,..3)WAVING AND POINTING A LOADED GUN AT A GROUP OF FOLKS AT A NIGHT CLUB..4)DRIVING WITH NO DRIVERS LICENSE OR INSURANCE…5)LATEST INCIDENT WITH PARKING LOT ATTENDANT…IF THAT HAD BEEN YOU OR I, WE WOULD STILL BE IN JAIL….CHRIS HENRY IS A CRIMINAL,AND HIS BEHAVIOR STILL IS OFF THE HOOK,..ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT AS A RESULT OF THIS RECKLESS THUG…

Chris Henry does suck as a civilian but let’s face it, as a football player he’s golden! Hopefully he can help his team get back on track…maybe.

Man o Man… All of you people are straight up haters. Chris Henry has made a few mistakes in his day, and got suspended w/out pay and lost half of his salary for a year. Yeah, he missed the money, but I’m sure he missed playing as well. I have confidence that he will stay on the up and up, and be a productive member of this team for years to come. No one is perfect, past performance doesn’t always dictate future behavior.

I believe one of those girls was charged with murder. I would not be happy if I was her parent. And I wouldn’t be happy if I were Chris Henry’s parent for him hanging out with that kind of crowd. I think he needs Super Nanny.

Chris Henry is a THUG and continues to act like one - example-his run-in with the parking attendant. The guy makes millions of dollars, yet he gets into an altercation about paying $5?? That’s just plain ignorant. He will not stay clean. He will be in trouble again before the end of the season-NO DOUBT. He will spend more time in a jail cell than he will on the field. It’s where he belongs anyway. Just give him an orange jump suit and let him pick up trash along I-75. The Bengals don’t need him.

But he is a good football player. Are you kidding me. If he talked to your mother that way would you still want him. The idiocy of a Bengals fan is beyond belief. Why not just get the players when they are released from prison. Do you really want a good team bad enough to sacrifice the reputation of the town you live in?

I really believe the kid does not understand the magnitude of all the idiotic things he is involved in and will be out of Goodell’s league if he does not shape up. Someone used the word “dumb” and it is most fitting. There has to be accountability and I do not have a bleeding heart for the plight of the millionaires of the NFL. I have problems too and don’t have millions of dollars to fall back on. He needs to grow up and realize the opportunity he has.

He should have been suspended for the whole season . (think ! ) Pacman is out all year with no convictions but Henery has been convicted like 4 or 5 times . that just makes no sense . what was he getting 15 year old girls drunk for ? only one thing SEX . He should still be in JAIL! what if that was your girls ?

I don’t care how much he says he has grown up, he is still just a punk and needs to be out of the league. There needs to be a stipulation in the contracts of theses “professional” sports players, something saying that if they get into trouble with the law, with drugs, drunk driving, and things of that nature they needs to be booted from the league. Kids look up to theses people and want to be them and all they are seeing in some of these people is how much trouble they can get away with

Yes, by the sound of things, it really appears that Chris Henry has grown up and seen the err of his thug-esque ways rolls eyes. He is a virus to the team and now no one is going to want him. Someone needs to turn this team around and Marvin Lewis is NOT doing his job.

Peat, I agree with you. Henry needs to watch what he does with his night life. He’s gotta be smart enough to know that because of his reputation people are going to mess with him. Anyone who thinks that isn’t true is naive to the facts of life. However, that doesn’t mean Henry doesn’t have a bad attitude. He has to be the bigger man and control his own situation even if it means not going out nearly as much because he can’t control what others may do.

Henry is a dumbass, but how is Palmer a “cry-baby”? Tootlessberger is the only one I’ve heard cry.
And “we dey” might sound clever to an ignoramus, but it doesn’t make sense. Although “who dey” is not proper english, at least the slang makes sense. Translation: Who is it that think they will beat the Bengals? Steeler fan answer: We they. Huh?! I would accept either “us”, or “we do”, or even “we did”. But “we they” doesn’t make sense. Stupid booger eating Steelers fans.

Chris Henry needs to come to work and play the game. Other than that he needs to stay out of trouble. You cant be a target if you are following the letters of the law. Yes the Bengals team does need him and I for one am very happy he is back. The incident in the parking lot just proves that he better get his his head in the game and forget all the hype.

Chris Henry is a target? LOL. Hell yes he’s a target because he always breaks the law! The Bungals are a bunch of criminals led by an actor (Ocho Stinko)and a freakin’ cry-baby (Rosie Palmer). Congrats Bungals, you’re the new Ravens, only without the winning record.

I am surprised that the Bengals haven’t tried to acqure Pac Man Jones from the Titans. He and Chris Henry could sit over a beer and compare war stories. Now I would pay to see that! How about it ESPN?

Someone suggested to the NFL that players who are convicted felons be required to wear a decal on their helmet, much like registered sex offenders, but Chris Henry’s helmet would not have enough space for all his convictions. I guess he could wear them on his shoes, his belt, etc…

When Chris Henry asked the parking lot attendant, “Don’t you know who I am?” I would have replied, “Yes, a functional illiterate with a single digit IQ who has no respect for other people or the law!”

Chris Henry will be in trouble again soon. Very soon. And NOT because people are targeting him. It will be because of his own poor attitude, and lack of respect for others, and the law. Just another wasted draft pick.
