Culture Builds Community program sets events

DAYTON — East End Community Services and Cityfolk will celebrate diversity Tuesday evening with community performance, including acclaimed musician Simon Shaheen, the Comet Bluegrass All Stars from Cincinnati and the Serious Young Musicians and Sol Azteca dancers from Dayton.
The combination of jazz, Mexican folk dance, Middle Eastern music and Appalachian bluegrass is a result of the Culture Builds Community program, a three-year Cityfolk and East End Community Services partnership.
Extras
Ethnic appetizers and cultural displays also will be featured at an open house, 4 to 8 p.m., at 624 Xenia Ave.
