DAYTON — The autopsy of Heather Nicole Walker, whose body was found in an alley trash can, revealed no obvious clues to the cause of her death, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.
"We observed no obvious signs of trauma," Ken Betz, director of the coroner's office, said Tuesday, April 22.

The cause of death for Walker has been deferred pending the return of toxicology and other tests. It could take six to eight weeks before those results are known.
Betz also said Walker's death was not recent. Walker was found Saturday in a trash can in an alley off Jersey Street, just north of East Third Street.
"She had been there for an extended period of time," Betz said.
Walker, 18, was reported missing on Feb. 9 by her parents. She was last seen in the parking lot of Sam's Market, 3501 E. Third St., her parents said.
Walker's body was found in a can between some abandoned buildings, Betz said.
