Miami golf team wins first tourney since 2001

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Miami University men's golf team won the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate Tuesday, the team's first tournament title since 2001.
The Redhawks bested second-place Kansas State by 12 strokes.

Freshman Michael Drobnick fired a 2-under-par 70 in the final round to earn individual medalist honors at even-par 216 in the 54-hole event. Junior Ben Wood tied for second at 217.
Miami's entire lineup finished in the top 16, with sophomore Andrew Aseltine (T12, 225), freshman Nathan Sutherland (15th, 226) and junior Ben Bastel (T16, 227) following Drobnick and Wood.
The RedHawks finished at 11-over 875 as a team.
