Eifert goes full at practice, says he’s ready to play

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert took his first team snaps of the year in practice today and said he feels ready to play Sunday against Cleveland.

“In my mind, I’m ready,” he said. “I don’t think there’s anything else I would have to pass.”

Eifert said he was ready to return from the ankle injury he suffered in the Pro Bowl when he hurt his back in practice Oct. 3. But he said there was no issue with either injury today, despite practicing on a slick field in a heavy rain.

He said his back feels “maybe even better than I expected it” after practice.

“That’s encouraging for me, just to get my confidence back,” Eifert said. “Being able to run around out there and cut it loose and not think about my ankle, not think about my back or anything else. It was good.”
