A fifth-round pick by Carolina in 2014, Benwikere appeared in 27 games with 14 starts. He began the 2016 season as a starter for the Panthers but was waived after Week 4 when Julio Jones had 12 catches for 300 yards.
He signed with the Dolphins but was inactive for four weeks before being released Nov. 8. He most recently was with Green Bay as a member of the practice squad.
