Wayne standout talks more about Ohio State; other prospects add offers

The recruiting world kept churning over the weekend (it always does), and it produced another update on L’Christian “Blue” Smith.

The Wayne receiver told Land of 10 that, “Ohio State is tops on my list,” after a recent visit to campus and heart-to-heart with coach Urban Meyer.

Sports Today: LeBron gets surly, Reds rotation issues continue, Dragons pitch no-hitter, etc.

Smith’s father, Lorenzo, said the visit was “eye opening,” and Land of 10 recruiting analyst Jeremy Birmingham cited sources indicating the 6-foot-6 four-star receiver could announce a college decision sooner than later.

On top of that, two area players added to their offer list while another got his first.

Xenia receiver Meechi Harris is near 20 offers after Syracuse joined the fray over the weekend.

Sidney running back Isaiah Bowser also added to his collection of offers as Air Force extended one Sunday. That comes after Yale and Cornell offered him last week. He already had offers from a handful of MAC schools.

Alter linebacker Aiden Simms has joined the more than 30 area players with at least one D-I offer as he picked one up from Air Force. Teammate Kyle Roshong is headed there this fall.
