A brief history of Billy Hamilton’s best catches for the Reds

There's an old song by The Treniers' called, "Say Hey (The Willie Mays Song") in which two Giants fans argue during the introduction about how many fly balls the Hall of Fame outfielder should be expected to catch.

“I don’t care what field it’s in – Willie plays all fields!” one declares passionately, only to be corrected by Mays himself before the band goes into a jazzy song about the future Hall of Famer.

Decades later, Billy Hamilton seems intent on reviving this debate.

Statcast found he reached 22 miles per hour while running down a drive off the bat of Carlos Beltran earlier this season, but that is just one in a long line of spectacular grabs by the Reds center fielder.

Here are some of our favorites….

This is obviously not an exhaustive list, and it is sure to grow.

Tell us which ones are your favorites, and send us the ones we have forgotten!
