Garrett was the Reds’ best starter in the first five weeks of the season, but he has been hit hard in two starts since returning from a brief stint in Triple-A.

He allowed seven runs in five innings Tuesday night against Cleveland and was touched for six runs in four innings a week ago in Chicago against the Cubs.

In eight starts, Garrett is 3-3 with a 6.0 ERA.
