Confronted each year with questions and concerns about Ohio's football computer ratings system, many coaches asked, "What do other states do?" High schools reporter Mark Gokavi contacted the National Federation of State High School Associations to ask if a breakdown of state-by-state football systems was available. "No" was the answer.
Calls were made to all 51 organizations (including the District of Columbia) to gather information about each system. Additional facts were found online, then organized into a state-by-state database of the ever-changing formats.
