Due to injuries, the Flyers (9-4, 2-0) have been down to seven healthy players for the past couple of weeks, but all that meant against the Rams (2-13, 0-2) was there wasn’t much of a bench to empty when the game got out of hand.
Lauren Cannatelli put on a long-distance shooting display. The junior guard made 10-of-13 3-point shots on the way to a 34-point performance. Sophomore Jayla Scaife joined in as well, draining 7-of-11 from outside the arc on the way to a game-high 35 points.
Both players bettered the Flyers’ single-game record for 3 point shots made and set new individual single-game scoring marks.

Senior forward Alex Harris chipped in with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing a game-high 17 rebounds.
The 116 points also set a new single-game scoring mark for the Flyers, topping the old total of 112 points set in 2014 against Wright State.
Dayton is at Saint Joseph’s on Sunday and returns home against St. Bonaventure next Wednesday night.
